St Barnabas is seeking to recruit an Assistant Worship Pastor, to work with the current Worship Pastors, for 10 hours a week, at the real living wage, to commence as soon as possible. This role has become available owing to the current worship pastors acquiring additional responsibilities outside of St Barnabas.

The Assistant Worship Pastor will work across our three Sunday services, under the oversight of the worship pastors and vicar. This post is for 12 months, in the first instance.

The person appointed will operate across a wide range of worship – from the choral tradition to various worship bands. The role involves a high level of musical ability on keyboard,  organ and vocals – and the ability to play other instruments would be very welcome too. It will entail leading groups of musicians and enabling them effectively to lead others in worship. The role offers the opportunity to develop both as a musician, as a spiritual leader and as a person.
