St Barnabas is part of the Church of England and the worldwide Anglican Communion. Rooted in scripture, the Church of England seeks to share the good news of Jesus by word and deed. It has over 16,000 churches and is always seeking out fresh ways to live the gospel. The Church of England is divided into 42 dioceses, with St Barnabas being part of the Diocese of York. St Barnabas seeks to build strong links with many other communities and churches in Teesside, particularly those associated with the organisation Transforming Teesside Together.
