Life Groups are a vital part of life at St Barnabas. They meet at different times and locations, generally fortnightly. Life Groups are informal and friendly, and centre around reading the bible and prayer. They are a great place to get to know God and one another better! Meetings generally last for an hour and a half. If you are not in a group and would like to be, please contact us.
Life Groups during Lent 2026: Rhythm of Life

Life is tough, so how do we stay solid amidst the knocks? The Christian faith has a set of core practices which act like a ‘spine’. Across Lent this year, we will explore these practices on Sunday mornings and midweek Life Groups.
Worship, prayer, Bible, generosity, service: these five practices form a ‘rhythm of life’. This rhythm helps us deal well with a fractious world and know the abundant life that Christ means us to live.
If you are already in a Life Group, your group will be meeting every week across Lent (not the usual once-a-fortnight).
If you are not in a Life Group, you can join sessions at church on Wednesday at 10.30am or 7.30pm, with coffee before, starting on Ash Wednesday (18th February) for the duration of Lent. Sign up via the church office at office@st-barnabas.net.
