Jesus invites his followers to a life of fullness:
‘I have come that they may have life, and have it the full’. John 10:10
A key way in which we experience that fullness of life is through a daily rhythm of
prayer and bible reading.
It’s a rhythm which we see clearly lived out by Jesus himself.
Establishing a pattern of prayer and bible reading needs to take into account our
particular circumstances – and be realistic.
Like any habit it will take time to become part of us.
There are lots of great resources to help.
An excellent place to start is Brian Heasley’s book ‘Be Stil: A Simple Guide to Quiet
Times’.
