St Barnabas Church Prayer Diary
Our Prayer Diary is aimed at helping us pray at home for our shared mission. The prayer diary is not exhaustive and does not include every activity or group, rather covers key areas in our Mission Action Plan. Hard copies are also available in church.
Prayer Ministry
Members of the Prayer Team are regularly available to pray with individuals at all services and are found at the front of church. Team members are authorised by the Vicar and adhere to St Barnabas Prayer Ministry Guidelines and Safeguarding Policy.
Listening Ministry
We have a team of listeners who have been trained by the Acorn Christian Foundation. If you need someone to talk to who will listen and respect what you say, they can be contacted via the Prayer Ministry Team or Clergy. Furthermore, the team of Listeners use active reflective listening skills and receive on-going training to deal with any needs members of the congregation may have.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15
