Mixed media image making with a nature based session using charcoal from pine cones and poppy heads, willow, hawthorn and even banana skin! These items will be ground to make egg tempera and also diluted for ink and paint glazes. homemade ink will be used to soak papers and seasonal herbs, flora and fauna utilised to create expressive mark making in layers. The whole session is beautiful, immersive and responsive to the wonderful and calming surroundings.
Wendi May New is an Award winning Artist, has a love of nature and most of her work reflects this. She uses found foraged materials, she loves to illustrate, draw and also represent the natural world. With a background in Natural History Illustration, graphic design and print,Wendi works on murals and also more delicately with intricate en plein air studies.
This workshop is FREE and can accommodate 20 Adults.
Priority will be given to Middlesbrough residents (postcodes TS1 to TS9).
