Khadim Hussain a local poet, author and curry expert invites you to share stories of your experience of curries, taste a curry dish and design a label for his special blend of curry powder- ‘The Boro Bad Boy’
Khadim has held many talks and workshops. He has had five poetry books published and has written plays, short stories, and a long poem. He is gaining a reputation as one of the best Asian poets writing in North East English.

Design a Label For ‘ The Boro Bad Boy’ Curry Powder
Using any artistic medium, the artwork label should incorporate the history of Middlesbrough and the history of curry in Middlesbrough.
Winner’s prize: A Kilo jar of the ‘ The Boro Bad Boy’ Curry powder with the label designed

This workshop is FREE and can accommodate 40 Adults.
Priority will be given to Middlesbrough residents (postcodes TS1 to TS9).

Venue: St Barnabas Church Hall, TS5 6JR (The building is fully accessible. It has a free car park and is close to a bus stop on Linthorpe Road).
Biryani curry will be served, please indicate either the vegetarian or Halal chicken option by emailing katharine@st-barnabas.net
There will be the option for participant’s contributions to be included in the Recipe Book and in the exhibition for the final celebration event on 26.09.24.
