Our next sermon programme for January-March 2024 is now available.

In the mornings, St Barnabas begins 2024 by working through the Apostles’ Creed, line by line. This is rooted in John’s gospel. The Creed is the Bible, boiled down. The Creed gives us the essentials of the Christian faith in bite-sized chunks that we can carry around. The Creed points us towards heaven, but it also helps us become people through whom heaven touches earth. We’ll look at the Creed through the amazing gospel of John – which manages to be both earthy and transcendent all in one. As we ponder the Creed, we’ll find our minds stretched and our hearts enlarged.

In the evenings, we have a series on the Old Testament book of Esther from 21st January to 11th February. Then, through the Sundays of Lent, we’ll dig into the wonderful and mysterious New Testament book of Hebrews. We’ll go through to Easter Day, then have a break, then finish the book of Hebrews later in 2024.
