In light of the latest news from our government, please see below a message from David Goodhew and our churchwardens:

The churchwardens and I have met to respond to the new government guidance concerning COVID (‘Plan B’). We are committed to sustaining the church’s worship of God and doing so in accordance with the latest health measures.

Sunday worship will continue to happen in person and online as before:
– at 9.30am and 11.15am in person and online
– at 6.30pm in person only

From Sunday, those in church should wear a mask, which can be removed when having refreshments. The amount of ventilation will be increased – so we advise anyone coming to church in person to bring a good coat!

Some church members who have been attending in person will feel unable to do so currently and we encourage you to join in worship online.

For many these are anxious and confusing times. We encourage you to make contact with fellow church members and/or with members of the church staff team. We. encourage you, above all, to make contact with the God of Jesus, in whom we find true rest

During the pandemic St Barnabas, and churches in general, have not been sites for transmission of the virus and we are committed to ensuring this remains so.

Beyond this, government and church guidance is liable to change and we will keep you informed of further measures.

Be assured, you are in our prayers.

David Goodhew, Vicar
Mel Downs, Churchwarden
Andrew Devereux, Churchwarden
